1. Name: Course Drop Appeals Committee

Membership: 6 faculty members and 1 student member.
Quorum: 4 elected faculty members.

A. Committee Functions:

The Course Drop Appeals Committee is charged with the responsibility
of reviewing the appeals submitted by students who have been
denied permission to drop a course by the Vice Chancellor for

Academic Affairs. The Committee meets when there is an appeal
by a student.

B. To Whom Committee Reports:
The Committee reports to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

C. How Often Committee Reports:
The Committee reports to the Faculty Senate as often as necessary,

but at least once a year.

Power of the Committee to Act:

The Committee is empowered to make decisions in student course
drop appeals.
