The following motions/resolutions passed by the Faculty Senate
February 16, 1982, are listed for your consideration:

82- 8 1982-83 Senate and Agenda Committee Dates

Revisions in Appendix C:

82- 9 Deletion of "the Faculty Senate and" from line 3
under (a), page 4;

82-10 Changing of "excellence" to "effectiveness" in the
heading of section (a), page 4;

82-11 Insertion of "as approved by the Chancellor" after

"student opinon of teaching effectiveness;"' in the
sentence added by Appendix C Committee:

(As part of the effort to evaluate the teaching
effectiveness of faculty members, each unit shall:
develop and use its own instrument as approved by

the Chancellor * to determine student opinon of teaching
effectiveness; and/or utilize the instrument

developed by the Committee for Teaching Effectiveness

to determine student opinion of teaching effectiveness.)};

82-13 Addition of the phrase: "such as academic advising."
to subset (d);

82-12 Previous motion was amended by adding: “and other pro-

fessional services."

III (d) now reads: other responsibilities as may be
appropriate to the assignment, such as academic advising
and other professional services.

82-14 Revised charge of the Student Recruitment and Retention
Committee.

*As directed by the Senate, the Appendix C Committee editorially moved
the phrase to its present location.
