Johnson Chairman of the Faculty Faculty Senate Office East Carolina University Dear Dr. Johnson: With regard to actions taken at the January 27 meeting of the Faculty Senate, this office responds as follows: Resolution: 81-1 Adoption of six of eight amendments to the Code. This requires no action by this office and should not have been reported as a resolution of the Senate as they are simply amendments to a document under discussion. The proposed Code will be taken under advisement by this office. In order to obtain the widest input, the document will be dis- cussed with: 1. Vice Chancellors, Deans, Chairmen 2. Educational Policies and Planning Committee 3. University Attorney If or when any suggested revisions are received, I will be in touch with the Faculty Senate. When the Senate and this office have agreed on a final document, it will be transmitted to the Academic Affairs Committee of the Board of Trustees for their consideration. That Committee will transmit the revised Code to the full Board. I am pleased we have come this far and hope for Board action as soon as possible. 81-3 Dissolution of Campus Facilities, Planning and Development Committee. Action deferred as resolution was not enclosed. 81-4 Action deferred for above reason. J/81-5 Curriculum revisions.
