MEMORANDUM The General Faculty Thomas H. Johnson Chair of the Faculty August 13, 1980 GENERAL FACULTY MEETING RE: CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT Faculty Senate Resolution 80-32 (Constitutional Amendment of ex-officio membership of the Senate) was recommended by the Faculty Governance Committee, voted upon by the Faculty Senate on April 22, 1980, and approved by Chancellor Brewer, subject to final approval by the General Faculty. This amendment as printed below will be considered on August 25, 1980, and if approved will replace paragraph five on page A-2 of the Constitution (Appendix A). Faculty members who desire to amend the proposed Constitutional Amendment should present proposed amendments in writing to the chair. The proposed amendment reads: "The ex officio members of the Faculty Senate shall include the following representatives of the East Carolina University Administration: Chancellor, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Vice Chancellor for Student Life, Dean of the Medical School, and one additional member elected by the Administrative Council in a manner determined by the Council." eo Faculty Senate Resolution 80-32 (Constitutional Amendment of ex-officio membership of the Senate) was approved unanimously at the General Faculty meeting on August 25, 1980.
