Committee Organization, Subcommittees, and Research Activities A. Organization: Officers were elected in September meeting: Edith Webber, Chairperson John Daniels, Vice Chairperson Ruth Jones, Secretary Subcommittees: Robert Muzzarelli, Walter Bortz, and Paul Topper served on subcommittee to propose plans for “University Day." Research Activities: The committee gathered information from School of Music, Mathematics Department, and Foreign Languages and Literatures Department on recruiting efforts currently being done. Committee Accomplishments including Recommendations Made to Agencies other than Faculty Senate Committee submitted recommendation for University Day. This recom- mendation was accepted and funded. Citation of the Resolutions That Originated with the Committee: None Proposals and/or Business to be Carried Over to Next Year: The committee plans to give further consideration to making a recom- mendation for establishing a central calendar to schedule all events involving high school students who are invited to the campus. The committee also plans further discussions regarding a student- exit-interview process. Evaluation of the Committee Structure, Duties, and Functions: Satisfactory Suggestions for Improving the Effectiveness of the Committee More centrally located meeting place would be desirable.
