cm action We have one at M r <lb/>
purses of the people. We are <lb/>
cowards Seeing to potions instead <lb/>
i i enduring the answering assault of <lb/>
nerves. So ready are we <lb/>
for the West with resort any means to deaden <lb/>
have another at their stings we ate in danger of <lb/>

who have property to take care of <lb/>
lie more desirable than a painless <lb/>
world. That is all that heaven <lb/>
means to many. Yet no one knows <lb/>
whether such a world would as <lb/>
good as our own. Pleasure <lb/>
d might be pleasure <lb/>

present asylums all who are not <lb/>
strictly classed as law Specifies. <lb/>
Then we will no longer hear of lbs <lb/>
disgrace of insane people being <lb/>
fined the county jails. <lb/>
Ii is estimated that per cent, <lb/>
our population are crazy. In the <lb/>
older countries it will run as high as <lb/>
per cent. As tho percentage of <lb/>
urban population increases the per- <lb/>
of insane will increase, <lb/>
the natural increase of U <lb/>
scale of being the greater is the <lb/>
susceptibility suffering. What- <lb/>
ever the future may bold, pain re- <lb/>
mains one of our great problems in <lb/>
the present. And we wonder why it <lb/>
should necessary in the order of <lb/>
things. <lb/>
We cannot content ourselves with <lb/>
saying that it is only a consequence <lb/>
of sin. That may suffice as a super <lb/>
final solution of another man's prob <lb/>
But we know there is pain in <lb/>

One should be built in the Eastern if yon could, then the Saviour of <lb/>

sunshine. This idea has been <lb/>
adopted by the leading hospitals in <lb/>
the United States with very much <lb/>
increased success in treatment of <lb/>
patients. The hospital or asylum <lb/>
should be at an accessible point to <lb/>
railroad, but should not be at a Large <lb/>
city where land will cost hundreds <lb/>
of dollars per acre. With a large <lb/>
farm attached the patients could do <lb/>
some work, there cure would be ex- <lb/>
their health would be better, <lb/>
and what they raised would go a <lb/>

Yet we could not afford to miss one <lb/>

they taught application to <lb/>
