esteem of its patrons. Indeed it <lb />
be too strongly asserted that <lb />
in all the relations of life the name <lb />
of J. B. Cherry stood as a synonym <lb />
of honesty, integrity and truth. <lb />
He despised deceit and <lb />
in all their garbs. He possessed <lb />
in the highest degree that splendid <lb />
character which adorns a palace or a <lb />
hovel, and without which neither <lb />
prince or peasant is an example <lb />
worth to follow. A king his <lb />
throne without character is a <lb />
a peasant his humble borne <lb />
with character possesses a priceless <lb />
jewel. is not <lb />
with money, nor is it a creature of <lb />
accident; it is a thing of growth <lb />
It can grow amid poverty or perish <lb />
amid wealth. It must be fed on <lb />
truth and justice and its inner life <lb />
must be kept pure and good. The <lb />
gentle, kind and considerate <lb />
of others; steadfast and <lb />
ill their purpose to do the light <lb />
eschew the wrong. Our <lb />
departed brother illustrated, in <lb />
r his daily life all these virtues and <lb />
we can point with pride to him as ii I <lb />

spirit of his life may ever <lb />
