We notice nut much is said <lb />
about the new railroad coming to <lb />
place. If hub road tails to <lb />
a great deal of <lb />
freight which u have, will <lb />
be lost to mis road, road <lb />
now a ill continue to <lb />
hold all the of the town. <lb />
We think that the road will <lb />
a great deal by leaving Farmville <lb />
out of the route. Calculating the <lb />
distance Horn point to we <lb />
that if this road shall be <lb />
direct from Wilson to Snow Mil;, <lb />
the latter to <lb />
coming to Farmville, it will be <lb />
and a half miles further <lb />
to Snow Hill to <lb />
ville and Farmville off the <lb />
route. this fact us <lb />
we are certain the road will be <lb />
vastly benefited by to <lb />
Farmville, a the amount voted <lb />
by Farmville township be used <lb />
on the the road, <lb />
whereas it it- road is not <lb />
here, bonus will not be issued, <lb />
and the road not pas <lb />
or freight We hope <lb />
the head men of this new road <lb />
will see their opportunity and act <lb />
accordingly. <lb />

Mr. J. M. Blow, manager the <lb />
department of <lb />

that beats anything have <lb />
seen. The potato, which rail- <lb />
ed by Mr. A. G. Col, is quite large <lb />
has grown firmly to a light- <lb />
wood knot, giving tho two together <lb />
appearance something like a <lb />
tomahawk. Some one upon seeing <lb />
the potato remarked that ii had its <lb />
own kindling wood along. It is <lb />
quite a curiosity. <lb />
Died. <lb />

The entire community, as well <lb />
as their host of friends elsewhere, <lb />
sympathize with Mr. and <lb />

J. Morgan has recently <lb />
Chicago. Now we may <lb />
look for a low tide lake <lb />
and a corresponding rise of <lb />
water in Chicago <lb />

When said he would <lb />
gallop down the inside of the Tam- <lb />

mean it he has been <lb />
swallowed nevertheless. <lb />
