Alexander to Salisbury, where their <lb />
cases were passed upon by the grand <lb />
jury yesterday. The grand jury re. <lb />
turned true bills against both prison- <lb />
though the bill against Alexander <lb />
was not brought until after Finger <lb />
had gone before that body and told <lb />
the story of the crime. <lb />
When the true bill was brought <lb />
against Finger, Solicitor Clement or- <lb />
that Finger be carried <lb />
the grand jury and make whatever <lb />
statements lo them that he wanted to <lb />
regarding the crime. The prisoner in <lb />
fell statements to the grand jury con. <lb />
leased to being present when the <lb />
crime WM committed and he gave <lb />
which caused a true bill <lb />
murder la the first degree to be return <lb />
