Honorable John F. Kennedy

Campaign Headquarters

1106 Connecticut Avenue, N.W.,

Washington, D.C.

Dear Senator Kennedy:

I enclose a small contribution to the campaign fund. It is my conviction that among the college professors with whom I am acquainted you are the overwhelming choice.

Your visit to Greenville in September won many friends and supporters. The broadcast of your statement to the ministers of Houston has created a very favorable reaction in this area. The first of the televised debates was considered a victory for the Democratic cause, which you so ably presented, by all persons with a grain of intelligence.

Yours very sincerely,

John F. Steelman

Associate Professor of History
