	<p>I recd yur kind lletter the 20 do I was glad to here you got home Safe by the Blesing of god Well Mag <name type="person" key="name-00000001"><reg>Robert C. Caldwell</reg><orig>R.CC</orig></name> is well at Present I hant bin Sick a day Since you left me my helth is good at present I am on the Sound came here yesterday 6 miles from town in a tent lying on the ground bad chance for cold wether D Morison is well Parks is Sick The rest is well That old man Wilder is sick I cald to See him if you Send that cloth tel Pier to fech it on down to me</p>

	<p>Well Mag you run from the yelow feve I dont think there was one case of it in <name type="place" key="name-00000009"><reg>Wilmington (N.C.)</reg><orig>Wilmington</orig></name> I Dont no how long we will Stay Down here I Dont like the place but I dont get what I want if I did I be at home with you but the Lord only noes when that will be I am Sick and tired of this war it is hard times and worce a cuming but the Lords Will Be Dun Not Mine I Will have to submit to all those trubles and trials and trust in the Lord to being us than that is my hope and trust that is what keeps me up</p>
