I will drop you a fu lines to let you her from Robert C. CaldwellR.C.C. I am well I came here yesterday in as wet a day as I ever Saw in my life I was as wet a fello as you ever you Saw and got Sleep the night before and was in the rain all night,,,so I supose I start to Richmond (Va.)Richmond Monday morning I am in Wilmington (N.C.)Wilmington at this date so you nedent write til you here from me I expresed my trunk to Concord (N.C.)concord you must Send there for it as soon as you get this letter tel C.A.C. to wach for it

My things is in the botum of the trunck and Drite Morison things is on top my quilt is betwixt ours Stuf I have a cote pants Shirt paper flax thread I cant tell you what all but that is under my quilt is mine all but that gorde of shels,,there is a heepe of things of mine that I hant menshioned you will find them when you lift the qilt I kep 3 par pants and the same 2 shirts 3 pare of socks 2 blankets
