	<p>I seat my Self to drop you a fu lines this morning to let you here from me I am well I have just come of gard and it is ranin and bloein the hardst Sort this makes three knights this week i dont git one wink of Sleep but it dont hurt mee much I weigh one hundred and 80 my helth is good I have more clothe than I want I have fore pare of pants and three pare slips 3 shirts 3 cots 6 par of socks 2 par has the toes out of them and 2 caps my old hat is mas dun I want to Send Sum of my cloths home if I can git a chance there is two men going to Start home from our co in a day or two I dont know</p>

	<p>whether I can Send them or not you can Send to the Depo and See I am going to send this leter with them them ones name is Housten and Pinion those two men is going home on furlo as soon as tha kin get a boat wee have got Small pox in our co no one can get to pass on the boat down here to See us only then that has Specil bisness I want you to tel me the perticklers about Mothers health I dont want you to Say I hant hurd for two or thre days I expect She is beter or you woold sent me word I wrote hur a letter a fu days a go told them if She got dangers for housten to write me a leter and cin his name in fool to it</p>

	<p>(pages 3 and 4 of the letter are torn at the top, some text missing or illegible) but I forgot to state sum things I want you to tel Doct Housten to write me a leter and plate Mothers case in it if he Sends me the right kind of a Staten that he dont think Mother will live and sine his name in fool I think I can git of on Spicil furlo my helth is good except cold that is a comen complaint write Soon and often let me here from Mother and the rest of the friends I want you to send me a box with Lugh Housten when returning he is waten now to get a Boat you will here when he returns</p>
