	<p>With plesure this Holy day I seat my Self to drop you a fu lines to let you no that I am well and hoping those fu lines will find you in the same condition by the help of a meseful God and family So be it I recevd yours an Amzis leters the in 5 leters always finds me wating for them tha never git here too Soon I recved a leter from James Kirk this morning he wants to cum to our co the helth of our co is improving the wether is very windy and cold frost and ice I thot it was two cold to go to church to day and read my book we dont have any preaching only when we go to Wilmington</p>

	<p>Well Mag, if you can git Hen Welch hire him it cost 2 hundred but get him for les if you can you had beter hire him before crismus I dont know when I wil get home there is sum men here that hant bin home in fifteen month now you see my chance I dont know how long we wil stay here I hope it wont be long if I can git to go home home is the best pelase I wold rather stay here than go any where elce in the army any person But a Soldier dont no know any thing a bout it I am stil on the work Squad on Detach Service my Socks has got holes in them I wil have to go to nitting I git my washing dun in town at 25 cts a pese</p>
