I take my pensil in hand to let you know that I am tollerable able well I have the diarea and heat whe I receved your leter dated Sept 19 1861 on the in Side on the out Side Oct the 17 I Started you a leter Oct 18 I git all yours

you wanted to know were to Sow oats Sow the Stock grow in the field next Welch and Abe best of the stocks ground where where the oats was last year wheat where I told you about guverment wheat and corn do nothing without tha tel you tha must have it

then write to me about hiren Nat I think if you can't git know one else to hire hire him I don't think much of it I Stated in my last leter you wil Su[illegible] I am on post writing on my ne seting flat the ground half mile from camp if you hant gut rufing a nuf by a load of hay try mack Stafford our Sick men is all but beter but greer S Cald is up and a going Dont put the corn two green
