I take the present oportunity of droping you a fu lines to let you no I am well and I hope those fu lines may find you injoying the same blessing of god Mag I have ben on duty at the time sin I have bin here i hant had time to write to you i have bin on dutty day and night on gard fore miles from camp. Mag I was glad to here from you i dont expect to get home soon there is no furlough givin here there is two or three deserters evry night we havent draud nuthing yet onley meat and meal smaul at that this is a hard place Soldiers all Sick a most write Soon tel Robert C.
