Dear Mrs. Fletchers

Governor Hodges has asked you to serve on the Come
mission appointed to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the
incorporation of Bath, the first capital of North Carolinas
He has asked me to act as Chairmang I hope that you have

written him accepting the appointment. It will not be too
big a job if everyone will helps

I am calling a meeting of the Commission to meet at
my summer cottage on Pamlico Rivers seven miles below Wash
ington, next Monday, July 18th at 3230 in the afternoons
The place is on the road to the Country Club and will be
well marked with the word HARDING, We will have the meeting
at 3330, a fter which committees appointed will have a mecte
ing of their owne I shall cook a couple of pigse We will
eat and you can go home by seven o'clocks

This will be the only general meeting of the Commission
and I hope that you will do your best to be presente May I
hear from you please on the enclosed postal cards
