Wilson of Charlotte, N.C. | The Charlotte Roosevelt-for-President Club was organized on April 29th, Mr. Wilson having been elected president, I Imow Mr. Wilson and regard him favorably. — | We are developing definite organization plans and field activities are being devoted to the organization 6f Roosevelt-for-President Clubs, At the proper time definite leadership will be set up in each county, Our plan of campaign will, of course, be directed with the view to naming a solid Roosevelt delegation to the National Convention. | My suggestion would be that you advise lr. Wilson to contact with me. We will establish an organization in every county and unless (tr, Wilson does cooperate there may be some conflict. : Enclosed is a list of forty: vat I enclose also copy of teharter" which nay be of interest to you.e Sur work is progressing rapidly and we soon expect to have one hundred such clubs. | The sentiment in North Carolina is decidedly favorable to Gov. Roosevelt, but we want to make certain about the delegates. There is only a seattering sentiment in the State for Garner, Baker, or anyone else, ‘The attitude assumed by Gov. Smith is looked upon with great ‘@isfavor. In fact, our people resent his position. Faithfully. x
