Pitt County Democratic Executive Committee

Dear Member and Vice Chairman:

This is the year when we must and will send Nixon back to
California and Benson back to Utah. We have a fight on our hands,
but with all of us pulling together our good County of Pitt will
come through with a great majority. In the last three presidential
election years our County gave the ticket the largest numerical majority
of any county in the State despite the fact that there are about twenty-
five counties in the State with a greater voting power than ours,

I am writing you this letter to urge YOU to attend a meeting of the
Committee on Saturday, August 20th, at 12:30 P.M, at Respess Brothers
Parbecue House. After we have eaten, we will map out plans on how to
carry on the campaign so that again Pitt County will be at the forefront,
