. I enelese a small contribution to the campaign fund
and ask that it be credited toward the Pitt Gounty quota.

Lately the Nixon-Gavin crowd has become very active
and vocal in this county. It is composed of sorehead
Democrats, mavericks with no place to go, defectors
who lack any sense of party loyalty or principle. it
appears thet a great deal of money is being pumped in
from oviside to keep this gang alivese I believe this has
Greated enough of a nu&sanece to arouse the county
organization. Already it seoms to be & ict more astive than
in the 1956 campaizn.

If there is any way that I can be of help from this
