I might be wrong about the identity of the third woman. She could be Nanene Jacobson.
I think the third woman is Sara Edmiston. I was an art student at ECU (then ECC) 1963-1967.
If there is any way I could know more it would mean the world. In clearing my mothers house I now have a large gorgeous block print signed Sara Edmiston 1966. I know nothing about her or her legacy. It’s about 2 by 6 feet. I can’t get anywhere with the name. We grew up in NC. Thank you!
I found a charcoal drawing of a nude by Sara Edmiston in my deceased sister Margot's storage. Margot graduated from ECU in 1967 with a BFA in Ceramics and Graphics. I too have not been able to find out anything about the artist except she taught with her husband at ECU.
741.37.b.59: The woman on the left is Mrs. Marilyn Gordley, professor of art, School of Art, ECU. The woman in the middle is Dr. Emily Farnham, professor of art, School of Art, ECU. I do not recall the third woman's name.
