I am in search of Joshua Jones' father. Everything points to William Willie Jones. This can not be true as they are only born 7 years apart. Does anyone know who really is Joshua's father?

I descend from Willie Jones by way of his daughter Anna Maria Jones. None of his son’s had children so the Jones name did not carry on. Nor did it for his brother Allen Jone

Does anyone know who Joshua Jones' father is since it can not be Wylie. I too am descended from Joshua through Russell Jones.

Nicole Kinser Jul 10 2014

Joshua Jones is not a son of Wylie Jones. All one has to do is look at their birth dates. Wylie was born in 1740, Joshua was born in 1748.

I thought I traced my jones line back to willie (Wiley) jones through his son Joshua. But I have read several published articles saying all his sons died before coming of age

Wylie Jones is also a relative of mine through the Tanquarys and Jones family of Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Hello cousin, Willie Jones is my 6th Great Grandfather.

DONNA Mar 03 2012

Wylie Jones was my 8th great grandfather, his son Joshua Jones is buried on the property of the Biltmore Mansion (this land 1st belonged to the Jones family) Joshua had a son named Ressel Jones who married Sara Hayes daughter of Col. Joseph Hayes whom was killed durring the revolutionary war. Russel Jones lived and died in Del Rio Tn. which is located in Cocke Co. but during this time was still North Carolina
