Description
Interviews with Sally Snowman, Division Operations and Member Training Officer, United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, District 1 North, Division 12 and keeper of the Boston Light lighthouse. In the June 13 interview, Snowman details the life of her father, Roger Snowman, former Commodore of District 1 North. In the June 16 interview, Snowman describes her role as the Division Operations and Member Training Officer, her history as a United States Coast Guard Auxiliarist and her paid employment in the United State Coast Guard as the keeper of Boston Light lighthouse. Snowman is the only female lighthouse keeper in the United States and the 70th keeper of Boston Light. Snowman has been a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary for 47 years. Interview conducted by Glen Bushcher, Janice Koleszar, and Davida Kellog.
