U.S. Navy Net Tenders
Black and white photographic negatives of U.S. Navy net tenders Gum Tree, Holly, Elder, and Larch, hulls #460-463, constructed at Marietta Manufacturing Company, Point Pleasant, W. Va. The first image has four net tenders moored in a river; the two on the left are Larch and Elder, the other two are unidentified. The Marietta Manufacturing shipyard is visible on the opposite bank, with another ship is under construction at the left of the photograph. The second photograph shows an unidentified net tender underway on a river, with two bridges visible at the left edge of the photograph.
