Within the next two weeks the summer became

Picton

Throughout history there have been many
intellectual people who have made amazing
discoveries to better mankind. AND... lam proud
to say that I have become one of them. That's
right, I have made my very own great discovery.
Some might not believe me but it is entirely true,
BRIAN GONZALES, an ordinary student, has
made a profound yet somewhat useless discovery.
Now, before I bore you with my ongoing egoism,
perhaps I should recount the events that led up to
my discovery...

..Actually, I donTt really remember much of
the details. I have no idea what day it was or the
time; however, I clearly remember it being late
at night. I was trying to go to sleep because I had
school in the morning, but my mind was too
active for sleep. So I found myself, as | usually
do, in an unbreakable state of insomnia. During
these insomniatic (is that even a word?) episodes,
besides thinking about how much I hate waking up
five minutes before my alarm clock goes off, my
mind wanders and starts acting on its own. I start
thinking about everything from women to what
lies out in the deepest reaches of outer space...

but mostly women. The topic for that night was

started thinking... snoring is such a strange habit,
and there isnTt anything one can do about it. ItTs
not as if one chooses to snore. O n top of that itTs
very annoying to all those cursed with having to
listen to it. How did snoring evolve into the human
species? Why does it sound like that? Why canTt it
be something that calms people down and helps
them fall asleep? Like math class or something. |

And thatTs when it hit me...

ae actually has a purpose, or
rather...

... HAD a purpose.
As it turns out, snoring is sort of like your
appendix (no really 'm serious). ItTs a vestigial
structure. For those of you that donTt know what

that means I'll expla in. Your ap pendix is a part of
