The resource guide discusses Outterbridge's current art exhibit which presents African and African American iconography of both past and present. The guide also contains photographs of works by Outterbridge included in the digital object titled "Sculptures by John W. Outtbridge." The titles, cultural context, medium, and a discussion prompt for students provide more context for some of these sculptures. Outterbridge is a Los Angeles-based painter, sculptor, and installation artist who was born in Greenville, North Carolina.
