Description
Oral history interview with Bessie W. Harris as part of Growing up African-American in Pitt County, a project completed in 1994 by Mary L. Perkins-Williams and Mary Boccaccio. Harris was a midwife in Greenville, N.C. and is assisted during the interview by her granddaughter, Dorothy. Dorothy does the majority of the speaking for Harris.
