Scrapbook Concerning the E. B. Ficklen Family, Greenville, N.C.
A small scrapbook found in the Edward Bancroft Ficklen House, 508 W. Fifth Street, Greenville, North Carolina, by the donor when she was living there in 1970. In deteriorating condition, the scrapbook contains photographs of children, the Ficklen house, and a cemetery plot covered in flowers. Also included are clippings about the drowning of Edward Bancroft Ficklen, Jr., and Brodie Hicks in 1914 as children; a report card, certificate of merit, and a homemade spelling book belonging to E. B. Ficklen, Jr.; and a handwritten poem about death and youth.
