Ms. Marsha Warren, Executive Director
The Paul Green Foundation

P.O. Box 2624

Chapel Hill, NC 27515

Dear. Marsha:

As you know, the PG Foundation generously allocated $2,500 to assist

in meeting expenses involved in producing the Paul Green Seiminars at

the 1995 Conference on Outdoor Drama, October 28, 1995. When we first
began to plan the siminars, I suggested that this money be used to

help meet travel expenses of those individuals who would be participating
in leadership roles of the seiminars. You agreed this was a good plan,
and so we have been operating accordingly.

I have asked 10 people to participate in those leadership positions.
With a $2,500 budget, we could pay each person $250. I have written
each person explaining what their responsibilities will be during

the seminars and to expect a $250 check from the PG Froundation which
should be used to help meet travel expenses.

Of these 10 people, four will be traveling at the expense of their
companies:

Fred Chappell

Neil Hess

scott Ray

William Hardy

Actually, I can't sware that each company will be meeting espenses to
send those four individuals, but I feel fairly sure they will. You will
see that I have suggested that these people sign those $250 checks over
to their companies, and I have copied the general managers of their
companies in an effort to make sure all comes out as it should.

Two other people will also be traveling at the expense of their companies
I suspect:

Jokn Ahart

Gayle Bowling

Those two people also serve as general managers of their companies, and
so I see no reason to send them a copy of correspondence that they will
already be receiving. There are no built in checks and balances for
these people. I trust they will sign over the $250 checks to their
companies if their companies are indeed meeting their expenses.

The other four people will not be having their expenses met by any
company and they can just go ahead and cash their own checks.

While this may sound somewhat complex, I elected:to do it this way to

keep it simple for you. All you need do is send each of these individuals
a check for $250. If they need to sign them over to their companies,

its up to them to do so. In most cases their general managers will

know this should be done. Only in two cases will there be no check

or balance. But, I don't think there will be a problem.

Everything is coming together and I think its going to be a splendid
set of seminars. I am so confident good things will be said during
them, I am going to make arrangements to have the comments recorded,
transcribed, duplicated for distribution as the IOD sees fit, and that
a full page story be published in U.S. Outdoor Drama which reports on

Just realized one exception to the distribution of checks:

I did not mention anything about a $250 check in Fred Chappell's
letter. The Lost Colony will be meeting his expenses to travel

to the conference, but when I struck the deal for Fred to come

to the conference with him and his general manager, Jon Summerton,
I stated that the PGF would kick in $250 to help meet expenses, and
that this check should go directly to the general managers of the
company, with a note explaining what it is for. So, if you would
make that one exception, I would be grateful.

Thanks
