Reflections

Title
Reflections
Description
Print: photographic by Ashley Marie Mignosa for Spring 2014 in ART4250. My body of work Reflections explores different southern downtown's seen through window reflections. These southern towns are displaying past and current values of the culture in their store front windows. By traveling to many different downtowns I am showing how they are all very similar, some are better kept then others but, none the less are displaying the current state of today’s culture and values. In my work I am showing the compression of time within the store front window of these towns. These downtowns are trying to preserve the past by continuing to use the older part of the town creating a twilight zone of history. This series of reflections shows the idea of lost time with in the window reflection.
