Wood rings

Title
Wood rings
Description
Jewelry by Luke I. Price for Fall 2011 in ART3500. Wood, deer antler, silver. The ring with the large cabochon shaped out of deer antler is deceivingly simple. The wooden base is made of two thin veneers of walnut. The upper one has an oval cut out of it with a bevel on the under side in order to act as a bezel setting for the cabochon. The lower veneer has two holes that allow the riveted ends of the ring shank to sink into it, so that there is a flat surface for the top veneer and cabochon to adhere to.
