Title
1228 Hull Street
Description
Print: fine art by Cabell Kristine Johnson for Spring 2012 in ART4250. Archival Inkjet Print. Lighthouse Diner, Richmond, VA. A once bustling place in the 1940s, the diner fed generations of hungry Richmonders day and night then closed in 1982. The grills were turned off for the final time around 1970. Left on counters are salt and pepper shakers, holders with straws, and menus that have a hamburger that cost 75 cents and a beer for 40 cents. The diner was supposed to reopen in 2008 and never did.
