Correspondance in this folder covers the years 1878-1917 and includes details of Dixon's travels as a boy, an application for a high school teaching position, letters of recommendations from professors at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and letters to his family about his military service and training. Also included is a postcard from [Paul] von Hindenburg addressed to Otto Holzmann, in German, and unused postcards depicting landmarks in Europe.
