On the left side, holding the banner, is J. B. Spilman, the older man on the right side is John G. Clark Sr. Clark was chair of the Democratic Party in Pitt County in 1960, and rode in front of JFK in the motorcade approaching ECC College Stadium from the Greenville airport, Sept. 17, 1960.
