Walk Toward The Sunset
Script for the 1976 version of the 1969 play "Walk Toward The Sunset" by Kermit Hunter. This play highlights the Melungeons role during the Revolutionary era, the settlement of Eastern Tennessee, and post-Civil War era. The outdoor drama ran in Sneedville, Tennessee from 1969 until the end of the 1976 season. However, the 1972 season was cancelled.

I remember this! I was stage manager for this production in the early 70's. I also played Daniel Bonne in the 1st act and "Old Pat" in the 2nd act. I was a college student at Carson-Newman college and in "Papa" John Welton's Drama Class. There were some great people in the cast and crew the 2 years I was with them. Good Times! I used to have an original program from the production but not sure where it is now.
