Description
This document reflects a transfer of land ownership within the Moses Moore family. Originally purchased on July 27, 1774, the land lies South of the Tar River and North of Cow Swamps in Pitt County, North Carolina. The document was chartered in 1807 by Moses Moore as a part of the land deed to continue the ownership of the 200 acre land within the generational family. The document was signed and witnessed by Moses Moore, Jr. and signed and witnessed by akin family members. The document was further signed into local legislation in 1809, as described in the lower right corner of the parchment. date: 1807 creator: Moses Moore
