This is Roy Hardee - He was a well known photojournalist for the Daily Reflector and then in the television industry. He was news director of WNCT-TV and WITN-TV as well as a reporter/photographer for the News & Observer. He was the winner of numerous photojournalism awards, to which such award is present in his name each year to an outstanding photographer.
