This store was owned by my grandfather, Frank Wilson.  Please note his name was not King; he just called himself the "king clothier".  You have 2 post cards in your archive incorrectly calling him "Frank Wilson King, Clothier".    He was married to Verda Mae Waldrop from Hendersonville, NC, and they lived on West 5th Street next door to the E. B. Ficklens and raised a large family.  My mother, who is still living and will be 96 in March 2011, is the last survivor of their 7 children.
