Flowers postcard to his wife Carmen while he is at “some English camp” during World War I as a member of the 115th Ambulance Company of the 104th Sanitary Train, 29th Division, 7th Army Corps, American Expeditionary Forces. He writes about people cheering as they march through an English city, but there are no young men, only children and women.
