Postcard of the Baranovichi (Belarus) bread factory in winter. A horse and carriage carries people in front of the buildings, which are covered in snow. The words "Brotfabrik Baranowitschi" are printed in the upper left on the front of the postcard. There is handwriting on the back in German, and the card is posted to the "Familie F. Görling" in Hamburg. The postmark date is "5.12.16." This postcard was among fourteen gelatin photographs and four printed postcards that belonged to Emil Görling. Görling, a German solider during World War I, was a member of the Aufraumungs-Arbeit (literally translated as the “clean-up” crew) in the 3rd Landwehr Division of the Imperial German Army.
