Text on back reads: "Shadrack Allen's Crown Point, 2004 photo of brick remnants by Keats Sparrow. ECU senior archaeologist Dr. Charles Ewen confirmed that many of the bricks were made by hand." This item is part of a collection concerning President George Washington’s historic “Southern Tour” of 1791, focusing especially on those events occurring in Pitt County, North Carolina.
