Quarterly newsletter from The USS Emmons Association, an organization comprised of USS Emmons crew members, family and friends working to preserve the memory of the Emmons and to honor the memory of the shipmates who perished in her sinking. The destroyer USS Emmons (DD-457/DMS-22) was the last naval fighting ship commissioned prior to U.S. entry in World War II, and sank after being badly damaged by Japanese kamikaze attacks off Okinawa on 5 April 1945.
