An undecorated postcard from Venetia Cox in Peking [Beijing], China, to her mother, B. T. Cox, in Winterville, North Carolina. She writes about packages she's received, a Chinese orchestra she heard, and a recently elected Chinese bishop [Tsae Seng Sing] in the Chekiang [Zhejiang] Diocese. A native of Winterville, Venetia Cox was an Episcopal missionary music teacher in mainland China between 1917 and 1950.
