An unsigned letter from Katie Murray in Hsueh-tien [Xuedian], China, to her family in the United States. Murray writes of a new Bible class she is teaching, how the Chinese greatly values their Bibles, and some of the religious testimonies she recently heard from Chinese women. A native of North Carolina, Murray served as a Baptist missionary in China between 1927 and 1950, occasionally fleeing during times of war. She served her last years of missionary service in Taiwan between 1954 and 1959. more...
