I remember sitting at the train station during Huricane hazekin 1949 and watching thhe tilee blow off. The hotel is no longer standing

Just bought an advertising paperweight for this hotel (as Christmas present to a collector) while on a visit to Virginia. The tag reads RICK'S [SIC] HOTEL, ROCKY MOUNT, N.C.RATES $2.00, $2.50 & $3.00Image centers on hotel's corner, with columned portico to the right (in the photograph).
