This building has always been known as Sheppard Memorial Library. Note the title of the postcard says "Memorial Library." The library was donated by Harper Donnelson Sheppard in memory of his father. Also, note the 'date' of the postcard. The library opened in the fall of 1930, so this card probably dates to the early-mid 1930s.
