Letter from Thomas A. Demill in New York to Captain Thomas Sparrow during his imprisonment at Fort Warren in Boston. Demill writes that he sent 54 heavy jackets and some caps for Sparrow and the other prisoners.
The Civil War correspondence relates the activities of Thomas Sparrow and his Washington Grays from their formation as a volunteer company in April of 1861, until their parole from a Union prison in February, 1862.
