Letter from Thomas A. Demill in New York to Captain Thomas Sparrow, Care of Colonel Dimmick Commander, Fort Warren, Boston. Demill writes to Sparrow about sending jackets and shoes to the prisoners. Demill also discusses the possibility of Sparrow coming home through a prisoner exchange.
The Civil War correspondence relates the activities of Thomas Sparrow and his Washington Grays from their formation as a volunteer company in April of 1861, until their parole from a Union prison in February, 1862.
