Description
Double-sided advertisement for Peruvian Syrup, or Protected Solution of Protoxide of Iron Combined. The black and white advertisement mostly includes testimonials and editorial notices of its use dating from 1855 to 1860. This remedy has been successful in the treatment of dyspepsia, liver complaints, dropsy, neuralgia, headache, scurvy, skin diseases, bronchitis, diseases peculiar to females, and more. An illustration of a seal or coin [?] with "Repub. Peruana 1854" is in the upper left corner. The illustration includes an animal (vicuna?), a tree (chichona?), and a cornucopia. Peruvian Syrup is prepared by N.L. Clark & Co. and sold by J.P. Dinsmore, 491 Broadway, New York.
