On back: " June 5, 1979, The East Carolina University School of Medicine's new educational facility has been named the Brody Medical Science Building in recognition of the family's support of the developing medical school. The ECU Board of Trustees voted to name the building after it was announced that the Brody Family has given $1.5 million to the ECU Medical Foundation. The Brody family is from Greenville and Kinston."
